Who operates the site
AlfredHanna.com is a personal story blog operated by Alfred Hanna. This policy explains the information involved in visiting the site, viewing media, or choosing to contact me through another platform.
The site does not currently offer visitor accounts, comments, a newsletter signup, contact forms, a shop, or payment processing. It does not currently run a first-party audience analytics tool.
Information involved in loading the site
Like other websites, this site needs technical information to deliver pages and protect its services. Hosting and content-delivery providers may process your IP address, the address of the page or file requested, browser or device information, request times, and information about errors or suspicious traffic.
Cloudflare provides hosting and content delivery. Sanity supports publishing and delivery of site content and media. Requests to these services may be processed for delivery, reliability, troubleshooting, and security. Technical processing can occur even when you do not submit a form or create an account.
YouTube and other external media
Some pages include YouTube videos or previews served by external providers. Loading an external preview or player, or playing a video, can send information to that provider. Google’s Privacy Policy describes information it may receive, including IP addresses, device and browser details, and video interactions, as well as its use of cookies and similar technologies.
Your existing account and browser settings may affect how the provider handles that activity. An embedded video remains a third-party service. This policy does not replace the provider’s policy or promise that an embed is anonymous or cookie-free.
Social links and messages
The Contact page links to selected social profiles. Following a link takes you to that platform, which applies its own privacy practices. If you send me a message there, I can receive your profile information and whatever you include in the message.
I use those messages to read and respond to your communication or handle the issue you raise. Please send only information needed for that purpose. A private message is not permission for me to publish your story or photograph on this website.
Cookies and your choices
Hosting, security, or embedded-media services may use cookies or similar browser storage as part of their operation. The site does not currently add a first-party advertising or audience-measurement tracker.
You can manage cookies and site permissions in your browser and review your Google or social-platform privacy settings. Blocking external media or cookies may affect video playback or other features. Browser settings do not prevent all technical information from being sent when you request a webpage or file.
Sharing and storage
Technical service providers process information needed to deliver and protect the site. Messages sent through social media are also stored and handled by those platforms. Information may be handled in the countries where the relevant providers operate.
Operational records and social messages do not all have the same retention period. Retention depends on the service, its settings, and the purpose for which information is held. Provider policies explain their own handling. This site does not promise immediate removal of information held independently by another platform.
Photographs and personal information in stories
This site publishes personal photographs and accounts of visits and experiences. If a photograph, caption, or story identifies you and you have a concern, contact me with the page address and an explanation. You can also request a correction or ask me to remove personal information I control.
For information held by Google, a social platform, or another provider independently, use that provider’s privacy controls or request process. I cannot make changes to another organization’s records from this website.
Security and updates
The site uses hosting and publishing services to support secure delivery and access control. No online service can guarantee perfect security. Avoid sending passwords, payment details, or other sensitive information through social messages about this site.
