Montréal, September 2017
A family visit with my mom, Claudette, and my brother, Joseph, with time to explore Montréal along the way.

We went to Montréal to visit family on my mom’s side. My mom, Claudette, and my brother, Joseph, came with me. While we were there, we spent time with Uncle Adel, my mom’s uncle and my great-uncle, along with his wife and their son.
We came to spend time with family, and we also made room for sightseeing. Between visits, we explored Montréal’s churches, waterfront, and views across the city.
Around Montréal#
At Notre-Dame Basilica, there was plenty to photograph, from the wide view of the sanctuary to the stained glass and carved details. I’ve given the basilica its own story so you can take a closer look.
We also visited the Old Port and Mount Royal. The trip included a little hockey history and a stop at the casino, too. You’ll find photographs from those places below, along with a video from the casino.
Start wherever something catches your eye#
You can step inside Notre-Dame, head toward the waterfront, or look out over Montréal from Mount Royal. Follow whichever part of the city catches your interest.
At the center of it all was time with family. We went to Montréal to see Uncle Adel and his family, with my mom and Joseph along for the visit. The sightseeing was another part of our time there.
